who's it for
who this is for
Wild Roots programmes are designed for people who may be living with cancer, recovering from treatment, or navigating the physical and emotional impact of long-term illness.
We welcome both people living with illness and those supporting them.
You may benefit from a Wild Roots programme if you are:

• Recovering from cancer treatment
• Living with the long-term effects of illness or medical treatment
• Supporting someone close to you through cancer or long-term illness
• Feeling tired, overwhelmed or disconnected after a difficult period of life
• Looking for a gentle way to rebuild strength, confidence and wellbeing
• Seeking time in nature with others who understand similar experiences

Activities are gentle, adaptable and supportive, and no previous outdoor experience is needed.
We understand that many people worry about whether they are well enough to join an outdoor programme. Activities are designed to be flexible, and participants are encouraged to move at their own pace. The focus is on fresh air, connection and wellbeing — not physical challenge.

Participants often tell us they come seeking fresh air and a change of scene — and leave with renewed confidence, calm, and connection.

If you're unsure whether the programme is right for you, we’re always happy to talk things through before you decide.
