REaL CONCERNS
I’m not very outdoorsy - will I feel out of place?
No. These programmes are designed for people of all backgrounds and experience levels. You don’t need any prior outdoor knowledge - just a willingness to give it a try.
What if I’m having a difficult day?
That’s okay. You’re welcome to take things slowly, sit out parts of the session, or spend time quietly in the space. There’s no expectation to be or feel any particular way.
I’m not sure if I’m ‘ready’ - how do I know?
There’s no perfect time. If something in you feels drawn to being outdoors, around others, or taking a small step forward, that’s often enough. And if you’re unsure, we’re always happy to talk it through with you.
I feel anxious about joining a group - is that normal?
Yes, completely. Many people feel this way before their first session. Our groups are small, welcoming, and gently facilitated. There’s no pressure to talk or share - you can simply come, be in nature, and take things at your own pace.
I’m worried I won’t be able to keep up.
That’s a very common concern. All sessions are designed to be gentle and adaptable. You’re encouraged to go at your own pace, take breaks when needed, and choose the level of activity that feels right for you.
I haven’t been very active since treatment - will this be too much?
Not at all. Many participants are in the same position. The focus is on gentle movement and rebuilding confidence, not fitness or performance.
What if I don’t know anyone?
Most people come on their own. The small group setting makes it easy to feel comfortable, and connection tends to happen naturally over time - often without needing to say much at all.
