OUR APPROACH IS EVIDENCE INFORMED

Wild Roots programmes are grounded in a growing body of research showing that time spent in natural environments can support human health and wellbeing.

Studies across psychology, medicine, neuroscience and public health demonstrate that contact with nature can help reduce stress, improve mood, restore attention, strengthen aspects of immune function and support recovery from illness.

​

Our programmes draw on these insights while keeping the approach simple and accessible. By combining time in nature, gentle outdoor activity, supportive group environments and opportunities for reflection, we aim to create conditions in which people can reconnect with themselves, others and the natural world.

Wild Roots does not replace medical care. Instead, it offers a nature-based complement to existing support, helping people build resilience, wellbeing and a renewed sense of possibility.
