Guided walks designed for those in or after cancer treatment, offering a supportive space to move, connect, and rebuild confidence at your own pace.

Through walking, fresh air, and shared experience, the programme supports both physical recovery and emotional wellbeing in a calm, non-clinical environment.
What to bring

Suitable outdoor clothing (layers depending on weather)

Supportive footwear (walking shoes or boots)

Waterproof jacket (and trousers if needed)

Small day pack with:

Water
-
Light refreshments/snacks

Any personal medication

If you’re unsure what to bring, we’re happy to advise before your first session.
ACCESIBILITY & MEDICAL NOTE
Routes are chosen to be as accessible as possible, but may include uneven ground, natural terrain, and varied surfaces.

Participants are encouraged to choose the walking style that best suits their current ability and energy levels.

This is a non-clinical programme and not a substitute for medical care.

Nordic walking poles provided (for Nordic sessions)

Small group setting with guided facilitation

Routes planned and adapted to suit the group and terrain

You are in cancer treatment (with medical approval)

You are in recovery after cancer

You are a carer
-
You are managing fatigue, low confidence, or fear of recurrence
This may not be suitable if

You are unable to walk short distances, even at a gentle pace
-
You require close medical supervision

Sessions take place at a range of locations across Gloucestershire, including parkland, woodland, and countryside trails.
